Chinatown Chinese New Year

On the weekend, I went to Chinatown. It was hard to find a carpark but we managed to find one. First we went to see the lion and the dragon dance. It was amazing! My friend Luke and his family came too.

Luke told me why there were lettuce hanging on the rooftops - "There are lettuce hanging because the lions come and eat them off and spit them all out". Then his little sister - Rebecca said, "It will be disgusting." It was actually amazing. And I got picked up by 'The God of Good Fortune'.

That means Chinese people believe that I am lucky, it was my mum's fault though. Because she pushed me out! It was embarrassing but fun! My mum even took a photo.
